we have a condo that was built 10 yrs ago. when is a good time to sell? my friends sold two years ago when the market was at its best. my neighbor just sold 100,000 less than the best market price last week. is he actually bringing down the price of the condo? has a few homes, i think it's a side job or something like that. well anyway when is the right time to sell?

Please wait for another 8 to 15 months, price will go up.

Granted that I am on the other side of the US...I would say that you should wait a while to see what the market does, possibly sublet or find some other rental situation that allows you not to be locked in.

 The market is either going to stay the same or go down further, unfortunately I don't think prices are going up in the next year, at least here in AZ.

It might be worthwhile to assess what your specific market is doing in a week or two, after the 1/2 point reduction in the federal funds rate (50 basis points down) yesterday.  Possibly not much so soon.  Seems as though at least another 25 basis points will be cut next FOMC meeting.
