I’ve been hearing that I can get left over or remnant Granite for countertops from suppliers for very cheap, all I would have to pay for is the cutting of the holes for fixtures, bowls, etc.  Is this true and how cheap is cheap?

Anyone have any suggestions on a granite/marble place in the Bakersfield or more specifically the Visalia area?

I appreciate any suggestions.

I used to live in the Bakersfield area and right before we moved we remodeled our Kitchen, we used http://www.artesanograniteinc.com/ and were pleased with the work and the prices seemed reasonable.

Not sure if they do remant but may be worth a call.

Hi, well my husband can get it very cheap of course were from the san fernando valley been here almost 3 yrs. in bakersfield, anyways he is selfemployed as a carpenter his clientel is down so., he can get granite very cheap and they will cut it for you no extra cost and they are not pieces.  Thanks Sylvia

I have actually visited "granite yards" in the past and picked up some great pieces. If you go with the sizes/dimensions, you can work some great deals. I saved a lot of money this way.

We have some of those around here in Charlotte and alot of builders will use them!  Great way to get some great deals but you have to be careful!

Maybe your "installer" could go with you? That might help!

I'll try to take my installer, if I can get a hold of him.  Ugh!  You would think in a down RE market getting a hold of your installer would be easy, not for my installer!

Your installer can probably help you find the best deals also while he is there.
